Adds parameters needed for WA to support file transfer polling.
``poll_transfers`` of type ``bool``, default ``True`` sets whether
transfers should be polled
``transfer_wait_no_poll`` controls the initial time in seconds that the
poller should wait for the transfer to complete before polling its
progress.
Make sure we only override parameters that are present in the current
config. This allows for connection parameters to be supplied for a
platform but only overridden if required for the connection.
Allow for overriding connection parameters on a per platform basis, and
make the `host` parameter for `Juno` optional as this can be auto
detected via the serial connection.
Instead of supplying only the parameter name and value to be set as a
default, allow for replacing the entire parameter object as this allow
more control over what needs overriding for a particular platform.
Allow specifying a ConfigutationPoint is deprecated. This means that any
supplied configuration will not be used however execution will continue
with a warning displayed to the user.
- Add copyright headers to files that did not already have them
- Update the year to the last year the file was modified in files with
existing headers.
When iterating over PLATFORMS tuples, account for the
platform_target_defaults introduced by 7470fb5ee.
Also, correct the tuple description in the comments.
- Add SimpleTargetDescriptor that simply returns a global list of target
descriptions.
- Add create_target_description function to populate that list with a
description crated from the specified components.
- Add add_description_for_target helper function to create a description
for the specified target class, and specified components. For
components that are not explicitly specified, attempt to guess
sensible defaults based on the target class' bases.
- fix TargetDescription._set to set lists rather than dicts for params
to be consistent with how params are set after creation (should
probably get rid of this entirely...)
- fix the comment describing the structure of TARGETS
- Use get_config_point_map() to ensure aliases are parsed from
configuraiton.
- Only set the default for a name only if it matches the corresponding
param's name (i.e. don't set for alises).
(linux|android)_gem5 devices were being described as having gem5
platforms but standard linux/android connections. This commit fixes this
by making sure that the gem5 connection is used.
Connection settings were not being properly extracted from device_config
and not used. Meaning it was impossible to e.g. specify the adb device
to use for a run.
This ensures that connection settings are extracted, validated, and used
properly.
assistant_params are now handled consistently with the other kinds of
params in TargetDescription, and they are now part of the default config
generated.
Previously if a parameter was not specified via config it would not
be used during initialisation even if the parameter had a default
value. Now any parameters with default values are populated as necessary.
- Workload's update_result stage has now been broken up into two parts:
extract_results and update_output. This is to allow the assistant to
pull output from the target in between the two stages.
- Updated assistant implementations for Linux and Android targets from
the exisiting code.
- Extended target descriptor code to handle assistants and their
parameters as well.
- Updated the target manager to actually make use of the assistants.
Changing the way target descriptions work from a static mapping to
something that is dynamically generated and is extensible via plugins.
Also moving core target implementation stuff under "framework".
